BEGINNERS & PREGNANCY

BEGINNERS:

We’re excited that you’ve decided to try out a class. You won’t regret it! We believe that everyone is capable of rocking our classes- no dance experience required. As long as you can hold a ballet barre, you can do a workout. That’s not to say that it’s easy, your first class will likely feel challenging at times, but we encourage you to stick with it. Try your hardest and let loose and feel free to ask your instructor plenty of questions after class if you weren’t clear on any of the moves. At Barre Brisbane, we believe that exercise should be fun!

PREGNANT:

Our classes are suitable during pregnancy (with the exception of Barre Cardio, Barre Stretch for entire pregnancy and Mat Pilates post 16 weeks).

Before attending a class we strongly recommend you contact the studio contact@barrebrisbane.com.au so we can pass on the pregnancy modifications. Your teacher will also review the appropriate modifications with you in your first class so please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for this and let us know in advance.

We also highly recommend our One on One Sessions to learn modifications in-depth in a private environment.

We highly recommend taking a break in the first trimester, after the first trimester please be very gentle with your body and avoid twisting poses that compress the stomach area.

Barre Brisbane classes are a fantastic way to prepare for labour offering you fitness strength in your legs and gluts which are great for your contractions during labour. Your body will also keep toned making it much easier to regain your pre baby bod once your baby is born.
